A new university was established in Isparta under the name of Isparta University of Applied Sciences (IUAS) with “Law No. 7141 on the Amendment of the Law on Higher Education and Some Laws and Decree Laws” which was published in the Official Gazette no. 30425 dated May 18, 2018 and entered into force.

Isparta Unıversity of Applied Sciences (IUAS):

The new university includes five Faculties with a newly established Faculty of Bussiness connected to IUAS Rectorate and Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies (formerly named as Faculty of Agriculture), Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Technology and Faculty of Eğirdir Aquaculture whose connection has been changed from Süleyman Demirel University and connected to IUAS Rectorate

The new university has three Schools named as School of Eğirdir Tourism and Hotel Management whose connection has been changed from Süleyman Demirel University and connected to IUAS Rectorate, School of Yalvaç Büyükkutlu Applied Scicence and a newly established School of Foreign Languages connected to IUAS Rectorate.

The 17 vocational schools of the new university are Aksu Mehmet Süreyya Demiraslan Vocational School, Atabey Vocational School, Eğirdir Vocational School, Gelendost Vocational School, Gönen Vocational School, Isparta Vocational School, Keçiborlu Vocational School, Senirkent Vocational School, Sütçüler Prof. Dr. Hasan Gürbüz Vocational School, Şarkikaraağaç Vocational School, Şarkikaraağaç Tourism Vocational School, Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Uluborlu Selahattin Karasoy Vocational School, Vocational School of Distance Education, Yalvaç Vocational School, Yalvaç Vocational School of Technical Sciences ile Yenişarbademli Vocational School whose connection has been changed from Süleyman Demirel University and connected to IUAS Rectorate.

Moreover, Institute of Graduate Education has been established and connected to IUAS Rectorate.

Thus, four faculties, two schools and 17 vocational schools were separated from Süleyman Demirel University founded in 1992 and joined to Isparta Unıversity of Applied Sciences (IUAS) under the Law No. 7141 “Law on the Amendment of the Law on Higher Education and Some Laws and Decree Laws” sent to Prime Ministry to be approved and published according to (a) subparagraph of the first paragraph of Article 89 and second paragraph of Article 104 of the Constitution by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
